While Christians and conservatives are applauding new legislation in Texas mandating the display of the 10 Commandments in schools, it does not remedy the systemic problems in public education.
If the Ten Commandments can be displayed in the Texas schools then so can the biblically abominable Talmud, Koran, Satanic Bible, etc.
The First Commandment-violating, polytheism-enabling First Amendment allows for no religious bias. Neither can YOU if, in any fashion, you promote the First Amendment and its biblically seditious components. In turn, to promote the First Amendment is to likewise promote the religious subversion of your own future posterity.

Amen, Brother Ted. This is exactly the kind of double-mindedness we see when Christians try to defend Yahweh’s holy Law using the very amendment that guarantees equal footing for false gods. The First Amendment doesn’t protect the Ten Commandments — it profanes them by putting them on the same level as the Talmud, the Koran, witchcraft, and every other religious system Yahweh condemns.
We cannot have it both ways: either we submit to Yahweh’s exclusive sovereignty, or we promote the idolatrous pluralism of “We the People.” To invoke the First Amendment in defense of the Commandments is to admit defeat before we even begin.
If we truly want righteousness in our schools, our courts, and our nation, we must reject the First Amendment and return fully to Yahweh’s Law — not as decoration, but as foundation.
For anyone who hasn’t yet, I urge you to read Chapter 11 of Bible Law vs. the United States Constitution at BibleversusConstitution.org. It will open your eyes to just how deep the rabbit hole of compromise really goes.
T-Bone, with all due respect, your statement reflects deep confusion between patriotism and righteousness. No, this nation was not built on biblical Christianity. The Constitution — the very foundation of this government — rejected Yahweh’s authority and instead exalted “We the People” as sovereign. That is rebellion, not righteousness.
You say “love this country,” but true love does not mean blind loyalty to a system that legalizes infanticide, sodomy, usury, and blasphemy — all under the protections of your so-called “Christian values.” That’s not Christianity. That’s polytheism and idolatry, enabled by the First Amendment.
Telling those who speak truth to “move” is no different than the Israelites who told the prophets to shut up or leave the camp. But the prophets stayed, warned, and called the people to repent and return to Yahweh’s Law — not man-made traditions wrapped in red, white, and blue.
You want real blessing for this nation? Then it’s time to tear down the altars of Baal — starting with the idol of the Constitution — and return to a government of, by, and for Yahweh alone.
I stand by my statement. As a retired Marine who fought for his country I still say Love it or Leave it. When you can construct a better system let us know. You seem to love neither God nor country so why stay?
T-Bone, it's not for any of us to build a better system, but to instead recognize that God has already done so via His perfect law of liberty . See Deuteronomy 4:5-8, 28:1-14, Psalm 19:7-11, 119:44-45, Romans 3:1, etc. And, then, for us to replicate the same here on earth, per Matthew 6:10 & 33, etc.

This book provides a biblical replacement for the U.S. Constitution's biblically seditious Preamble and first three Articles.
To love this country is to do what's best for it, as can only be determined by our God and Creator and His moral law. Thus, who is it who really loves this nation and their posterity? 1) The person who promotes the biblically seditious Constitution as the law of the land, responsible for officially commencing America's suicidal trek to the precipice of moral depravity and destruction, per Deuteronomy 28:15-68, or 2) The person who promotes government of, by, and for God, expressly established upon His moral law, as in early 1600's America, responsible for America's former greatness, per Deuteronomy 28:1-14?
You're correct in that this nation was built/founded upon Christian/biblical values - that is, early 1600's America. Here's some historical evidence for your consideration:
"...Fundamental Agreement of the Colony of New Haven, Connecticut, 1639: 'Agreement; We all agree that the scriptures hold forth a perfect rule for the direction and government of all men in duties which they are to perform to God and to man, as well in families and commonwealth as in matters of the church; so likewise in all public officers which concern civil order, as choice of magistrates and officers, making and repealing laws, dividing allotments of inheritance, and all things of like nature, we will, all of us, be ordered by the rules which the scripture holds forth; and we agree that such persons may be entrusted with such matters of government as are described in Exodus 18:21 and Deuteronomy 1:13 with Deuteronomy 17:15 and 1 Corinthians 6:1, 6 & 7….'....
"Almost as impressive as New Haven’s agreement are the testimonies to it and other similar documents:...
"Alexis de Tocqueville, Democracy in America, 1835: 'They exercised the rights of sovereignty; they named their magistrates, concluded peace or declared war, made police regulations, and enacted laws as if their allegiance was due only to God. Nothing can be more curious and, at the same time more instructive, than the legislation of that period; it is there that the solution of the great social problem which the United States now presents to the world is to be found.
'Amongst these documents we shall notice, as especially characteristic, the code of laws promulgated by the little State of Connecticut in 1650. The legislators of Connecticut begin with the penal laws, and … they borrow their provisions from the text of Holy Writ ... copied verbatim from the books of Exodus, Leviticus, and Deuteronomy. Blasphemy, sorcery, adultery, and rape were punished with death….'23|
"America was exalted in the eyes of the world because of her applied righteousness, embodied in Yahweh’s perfect law. Since 1788, when the United States of America, as a nation, stopped following Yahweh’s laws and began following the laws of WE THE PEOPLE, our legislation has ceased providing righteous instruction to others. Instead, the rest of the world now holds America in disdain. If America hopes to regain her favored status in the eyes of the world, she must return to her original Constitution.
"McGuffey’s Eclectic Reader, America’s most popular school book in the 1800s, also testified to America’s early form of theocratic government:
'Their form of government was as strictly theocratical insomuch that it would be difficult to say where there was any civil authority among them distinct from ecclesiastical jurisdiction. Whenever a few of them settled a town, they immediately gathered themselves into a church; and their elders were magistrates, and their code of laws was the Pentateuch…. God was their King; and they regarded him as truly and literally so….'24...."

The desire to display the Ten Commandments in public spaces stems from a cultural or historical perspective, rather than a theological one! While many people see the Ten Commandments as a symbol of moral values and a foundation for legal systems, they were never a means of obtaining righteousness & were never intended for Gentiles. From a New Testament perspective, believers in Christ are not under the law, including the Ten Commandments, as a means of achieving righteousness or guiding daily living. Why borrow from Moses what Jesus freed us from? Isnt that the sin of the Judaizers in Paul's time?
Instead, Paul the Apostle, formerly an Israelite living under the law (as was Jesus before His crucifixion, death, burial, resurrection, ascension & ongoing intercession & advocacy for we as believers -- a man under the law sent to His own which largely rejected Him and hence, Paul was commissioned to go out and compel others to come to the banquet and partake of the feast of grace) and subject to the 614 Commandments contained in it (since all had to be kept, and if one was guilty of breaking one, all were considered broken) makes it clear that Christians have died to the law and are now living by the Spirit (Romans 7:4-6). He refers to the Ten Commandments as a "ministry of condemnation" and a "ministry of death" (2 Corinthians 3:7-9). Instead of being guided by the law, believers are led by the Spirit, which produces the fruit of the Spirit in their lives (Galatians 5:18, 22-23).
For we Gentiles, the law was never given to us in the first place (Ephesians 2:12). The New Covenant, which is based on the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit, is the covenant that believers are under. This covenant emphasizes living by faith and love, which are written on our hearts (Hebrews 8:10; 1 John 3:23).
Ultimately, while the Ten Commandments can serve as a historical or cultural reference, they are
not the guide for Christian living. Instead, believers are called to live by the Spirit, experiencing the
freedom and life that come from their union with Christ.
Why fight for something that is no longer relevant and perpetuates the wrong impression of "it is for freedom that Christ has set us free" or the message of the mount of transfiguration -- where we see the law, the prophets and Jesus and we're directed to hear Jesus, not the others?
I recall in my younger days being on the agenda at city hall because our small group wished to rent space to meet at a city park facility. We faced the city council in person to plead our cause, because they were prohibiting us on the grounds that we were a "religious group." The gentleman who accompanied me (an accomplished debate coach and small group leader) pointed out that as we passed through the front door of the city hall, he couldn't help but notice that the ten commandments were posted publicly there for all to see, and the seeming irony that they would display these but prohibit a religious group from meeting because it was a public space. Their answer surprised us at the time (makes sense in retrospect -- that was @ 40+ years ago): (paraphrased) "If we let a group of Christians meet here, we'd have to let EVERY OTHER weirdo group or religious cult do the same."
We have become the living stones for the temple of God in which His Spirit dwells. We are a new (never before seen in the earth) creation. We have the mind of Christ, We have been given everything pertaining to life & Godliness. The myth of "profane" and "sacred" -- things of the now defunct Old Testament system of physical buildings, rituals, & form, have been abandoned for the ability to live out our lives in the freedom and joy of what the LORD, in His completed work has done for us.
In a society that is hostile to the gospel, to the LORD & to those who have been birthed anew, born of the Spirit, born from above -- when we walk into a public space, bearing within us the Spirit of our God, the wisdom of His WORD, the joy and peace that we have because of His completed work and the certainty of our future in Him REGARDLESS OF EXTERNAL CIRCUMSTANCES -- we are bringing the sacred with us and our example and our testimony and our ability to exhibit and transmit the LORD Jesus Christ to others wherever we are, in every circumstance, is much more important and worthwhile cultivating (and efficacious!) than erecting something that hearkens others back to a former (no longer relevant) time, a time when the only hope was STILL only faith in our Eternal God & His provision for us (see Hebrews) not in the impossible keeping of the laws given to Moses & the tribes of Israel, not Gentiles, which no one could keep (as Jesus clearly demonstrates in His "sermon on the mount" TO ISRAELITES contrasting the absurdity of their interpretation (the written commands and those interpretations/applications added by the Pharisees/Sadducees & Rabbis by verbal tradition) of what KEEPING the law really meant and His GRAPHIC clarifications (we still don't see anyone with eyes plucked out or arms ripped off, etc. because He proved that it was IMPOSSIBLE to keep the letter as well as Spirit of the law).
Let us focus our time, energy & resources, not on statues or public lists of outdated, non-applicable partial lists from bygone eras (and YES, though the law was fulfilled on our behalf by Jesus it is still God's perfect, holy standard & remains sacred for that) that have been replaced by SOMETHING BETTER & SOMEONE BETTER. THE GOOD NEWS is not in temples made with hands, in letters etched in stone - it is in the living relationship we have with our Creator, Savior & Holy Spirit who have made a way for us where non previously existed. God has done it all and we are the gracious recipients of that...not purveyors of artifacts.
I must mention God's consistent affirmation. I'm 65 in a few weeks. I received Jesus as Lord one afternoon between 1964 and '65. I want to give testimony that the Lord has shown and he doesn't change. It was on Mt Sinai that the CONTEXT of the 10 Commandments between God and Man, is that they were put into a box and he commanded a lid be put on it. The Mercy Seat. The Gold seat of atonement. Without this context the Apostle Paul said the commandment revived and I died. i.e. "The commandment wrought in me all manner of coveting." The commandment is true, it is God's Holy Standard ,it is required of you, and you are definitely not "The way" unto Holiness before God.
Without the context of a Blood Sacrifice, now complete in the Holy of Holies, the blood of the holy lamb of God, the commandments are not kept, and cannot be, Period. Just posting the 10 commandments does not convey this covenant and yet the covenant in the blood of Christ is the ONLY way, The 10 commandments posted alone are actually dangerous without the completed context given in all Scripture. on most alters of edifices in Christendom, the 10 commandments on the walls of the alter sanctuary are left or right of the center which is the Cross of Jesus Christ.
Mr. Newman , has it ever occurred to you than this country is now more religiously diverse than ever , with millions of Americans who follow just about every religion in existence , as well as millions of atheists and agnostics ?
And naturally , this means that there are more students in our public schools whose parents are not Christians than ever before . Public schools are supposed to be places for TEACHING, not preaching .
Our Constitution grants everyone the right to follow any religion as well as the right not to follow any religion at all . And it's so ironic ; conservatives like you are always whining about the alleged"indoctrination " in or public schools ; supposedly, they are teaching students to be godless atheists and communists to "hate " America , as well as subjecting them to the alleged " gay agenda ", which will supposedly "make them gay " even if they are heterosexuals .
Of course this is ridiculous . You cannot "make kids gay " by teaching them about homosexuality and that bigotry against LGBTQ people is a terrible thing any more than you can make kids tall by having them spend time with tall people .
Yet you demand that our public schools subject non-christian students to forced indoctrination in Christianity with mandatory Christian school prayer and Bible readings .'
This is a blatant violation of the right to religious freedom of the parents and their children who are not Christians . Christian parents are still free to take their children to church on Sunday , and they can pray all they want and study the Bible all they want at church and at home .
Furthermore , the 10 Commandments are not necessary to teach youngsters morals and ethics . All religions teach morals and ethics and atheist parents do a perfectly good job teaching these things to their children .
And yes, separation of church and state IS in the Constitution : "Congress shall make no law regarding the establishment of a religion ", and "There shall be no religious test for public office."
If there is no separation of church in a country , this is a guarantee of theocratic tyranny - the very thing which the founders in their wisdom were utterly opposed to .
Hooray.
