Ten Commandments AND The Pledge Of Allegiance! All schools! Teach kids to be proud of their country & to have reverence for life. Schools aren’t teaching. They’re pushing agendas. Stop confusing kids with DEI & trans gender concepts. Focus on learning meaningful skills.

I am in NW Arkansas where the famous landmark Blair library posts pro trans flyers on the bulletin board (sponsored by Blue Cross Blue shield increasing their income streams) and this library is suing the state to remove liability for harms exposing children to pedo grooming materials so while we are in the church age of grace and Bible Believers do not need to observe the Jewish sabbath, childrens' exposure to the King James bible might be helpful.

This is a blatant v violation of separation of church and state ! Our public schools are supposed to be places for TEACHING, not preaching !

WINDOW DRESSING!

Until the children in those same schools are taught to abide by those same Ten Commandment and their respective statutes and eventually their civil judgments, it's just window dressing.

More importantly, it's the same for the Ten Commandment monuments adorning the front of state and judicial buildings in America. Until those same Commandments and their statutes and judgments are enforced in those same buildings, those monuments remain nothing more than a false facade.

For more on how the Bible's triune and integral moral law (the Ten Commandments and their respective statutes and judgments) apply and should be implemented as the law of the land, see free online book "Law & Kingdom: Their Relevance Under the New Covenant" at bible versus constitution dot org. Not convinced this will accomplish any of the (apparently well-intended) objectives? And it hardly seems worthy of celebration. Is this the kind of example we wish to set before a watching and dubious world who already see the hypocrisy and inconsistencies in the institutionalized “church” attendees who are most often cited as the reason they have no interest in the faith (“the way”)? Will there be accommodation made or important statements permitted from other faiths and beliefs (including humanism – the atheist’s religion as well as evolution)?

Christians are called to live out their faith in a way that reflects the love and grace of Christ, rather than relying on external displays of religious texts in public spaces. The New Testament emphasizes that the law, including the Ten Commandments, was given to reveal sin and lead us to Christ, but it is not the means by which we achieve righteousness.

Instead of seeking to display scriptures in public buildings, Christians can focus on being a light in the world through their actions and relationships (Matthew 5:14-16). The emphasis is on living out the love and truth of the gospel in personal interactions and community involvement, rather than expecting governmental or public institutions to reflect Christian beliefs. What is more compelling that Christians who love, forgive, listen, empathize and offer a helping hand – yet who are “in the world but not of it”?

The New Testament/Covenant directs believers to respect and love others, regardless of their faith or beliefs, and to live peacefully within diverse societies (Romans 12:18; 1 Peter 2:12). This approach aligns with the new covenant focus on faith in Christ and love for others, which transcends any need for public displays of religious texts.

The Law is perfect, but as a shadow of better things it is not capable of producing righteousness – the law is what reveals sin. It shows us our need of a Savior, since no one is capable (besides the LORD Jesus) of fulfilling the law – it is a perpetual reminder of our inability to meet God’s standar. It is not the means through which we are to live out our lives; instead it is the power of God working in us that produces right behavior, since we become dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 3:24-25: So the law was our guardian until Christ came that we might be justified by faith. Now that this faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian.

Romans 7:6,7: But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code. What shall we say, then? Is the law sinful? Certainly not! Nevertheless, I would not have known what sin was had it not been for the law.

Romans 3:20: Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.

Hebrews 10:1: The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming—not the realities themselves.

Galatians 3:21: Is the law, therefore, opposed to the promises of God? Absolutely not! For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law.

The law was set aside because it was weak and incapable of producing righteousness.

Hebrews 7:18-19: The former regulation is set aside because it was weak and useless (for the law made nothing perfect), and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God.

Hebrews 8:6: But in fact the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which he is mediator is superior to the old one, since the new covenant is established on better promises.

Romans 10:4: Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.

It is not in keeping the commandments via external behavior modification efforts that brings fruit – it is instead the result of the indwelling Holy Spirit working in us that produces real change that is then evident in our behavior.

Galatians 2:16: Know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ.

Romans 6:14: For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.

Galatians 5:18: But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

Romans 7:4: So, my brothers and sisters, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God.

The law is a form of slavery. The letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

Galatians 5:1: It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

2 Corinthians 3:6: He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

We have been given only two commandments by the LORD as New Testament Christians, and these are not difficult with the Spirit of God dwelling within us and inspiring our words, attitudes, and actions.

1 John 3:23: And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us.

John 13:34: A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.

John 15:12: My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.

The act of being born of the Spirit/born from above/born again so that we are a new (never before seen in the earth) creation with a new heart, an indwelling Holy Spirit and a renewing mind is transforming and produces evidence that is tangible to those around us.

Ezekiel 36:26-27 (speaking of the New Covenant In Grace Through Faith): I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.

Romans 6:17-18: But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.

Even in difficulty or adversity, we respond differently than those who are not His.

2 Corinthians 12:9: But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Philippians 2:13: For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.

We should be focused on the fact that we have been redeemed from every lawless deed – that this once-for-all sacrifice and this completed work (Jesus does not need to die again and again and we do not have to be forgiven again and again) is what we seek to communicate to a Christ-rejecting world. I personally do not think public schools are a fit place for children, but if they have no other choice, then recognize that this is Satan’s domain – it is an integral part of the world system and our conduct and expectations will need to be adjusted accordingly, while our behavior remains anchored on the hope within us.

Titus 2:11-15: For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously, and in a godly manner in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, eager for good deeds. These things speak and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. No one is to disregard you.

Shouldn’t we be focusing our energy and time and resources on the cultivation of Godly children who live out their faith in everyday life – not dependent upon Old Covenant law/legal-based relationship to God when the New Testament brings to us a love-based relationship that is dependent upon Him, not us for its fulfillment and embodiment in our lives?

All laws like this do are create a definitive line in the sand to be disputed, argued, fought over and to exacerbate controversy over an aspect of our faith that while still perfect and unassailable, is not relevant to our good news message except to say it is no longer the operative force that compels and enables us to live our Christian lives in freedom and “liberty”?
